WIMBERLEY — Wimberley ISD announced the selection of two individuals to serve as assistant principals for the 2025–26 school year.
Errin Jennings will serve at Wimberley High School and Meagan Buck, who is currently assistant principal at Blue Hole Primary School, will be the new assistant principal at Jacob's Well Elementary School.
“I’m incredibly excited to serve the students, staff and families of Wimberley High School,” said Jennings, who comes from Luling ISD, where she currently serves as the director of Curriculum & Instruction. “The sense of community, tradition, and commitment to excellence is what drew me to this opportunity. I look forward to working alongside such a dedicated team to support our students and build on the strong traditions and excellence that define Wimberley High School.”
Jennings has more than 20 years of educational experience. In addition to her time in Luling, she has also served as the academic dean at Canyon Lake High School and worked at both Dripping Springs High School and Dripping Springs Middle School. Also, she and her husband, Perry, a WHS graduate, have a daughter who currently attends WHS. Jennings will join the 2025-26 administrative team of principal Ryan Wilkes and assistant principal Jason Giesen.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Mrs. Jennings to the WHS team,” said Wilkes. “Her broad experience, especially in curriculum development and the Teacher Incentive Allotment program, brings tremendous value to our campus. Mrs. Jennings is a high-energy, positive presence whose enthusiasm will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on our students and school community.”
Buck is currently wrapping up her third year as assistant principal at BHP. Prior to her time as a campus administrator, she was a teacher for six years, all with WISD.

“I’m honored to be joining the JWE team as their assistant principal,” Buck said. “The move is bittersweet to me because I’m incredibly grateful for the meaningful relationships and memories made at Blue Hole Primary. This next step is an exciting opportunity to expand my leadership experience and continue to learn and grow professionally. I look forward to what lies ahead and to continuing to serve the amazing students and staff of Wimberley ISD.”
“Mrs. Buck is a learner,” said JWE Principal SueAnna Thomas. “She began as a special education assistant at Scudder and continually worked toward her goals of becoming a teacher and then administrator. That excitement for teaching and learning carries into her leadership and will inspire Jacob's Well students and staff. Meagan’s servant leadership, collaborative team approach, work with the Wimberley community and genuine approach to all stakeholders will make her a valuable asset to Jacob’s Well Elementary.”
Buck and her husband, Grant, are parents of James, a WHS graduate, and Grace, a freshman at WHS. She joins the JWE team as the successor to Marlayna Zachary, who assumed the role of principal at BHP in January 2025.
