WIMBERLEY — The Wimberley High School Lady Texans softball team (13-16 overall) swept Manor New Tech High School in the bi-district round 16-0, 10-0 and will play Cuero High School (21-6-1 overall), who defeated Pearsall High School 8-5 and 10-0 in a bi-district playoff series, in the Area round.
Charlotte Woodward started the series in the circle for Wimberley and pitched the complete game, giving up one hit and two walks, while striking out six. The Lady Texans had three doubles, a triple and a home run. In game two, Woodward pitched the compete five inning run rule game, giving up one hit and five walks, while striking out seven and the defense kept New Tech off the scoreboard.
