Wimberley High School competes in seven UIL events
Wimberley ISD student-athlete Charlie Hanle reset his own school record in the boys pole vault by clearing 15-6.00 height, which earned him second place at the University Interscholastic League Track and Field State Meet Thursday, May 1. Altogether, WHS athletes competed in seven events at the meet, including freshman Corina Joyce, who participated in the girls 3200-meter run.

The Texans 4x400 relay team of Dane Dugger, pictured, Ethan Talley, Bryson Anderson and Nolan Waida recorded a 3:16.62 finish to win the silver medal, only .27 hundredths behind the gold medal winning time of 3:16.35. The same team captured a bronze medal in the 4x200 event with a time of 1:27.31.
