The Johnson High School Jaguar softball team (28-5-1 overall, 9-3 district) hosted the Taft High School Raiders (22-9 overall, 11-5 district) Friday, May 9, in the regional semifinal round of playoffs, pulling out a 2-1 win.
The Jaguars went on to beat the Raiders 7-4 in game two, which was held Sunday, May 11, earning the team a spot in the regional finals. Johnson will face East Central High School (22-11 overall, 8-4 district) at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Long Creek High School. Game two will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 16, and game three, if necessary, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17.
