KYLE — The Kyle Police is welcoming two new mental health professionals to its team.

Christine Dalton and Genesis Villagomez will join the expanding Mental Health Division as new mobile crisis care coordinators. Working alongside mental health officers, the care coordinators will offer crisis intervention, conduct mental health assessments, provide supportive guidance and ensure ongoing care for individuals experiencing crises.

“We are pleased to have Christine and Genesis with us,” said Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett. “Their expertise will be invaluable in our ongoing efforts to respond to mental health emergencies with specialized care.”

The addition of Dalton and Villagomez is an important milestone for the Mental Health Division, a news release stated. Their role as additional professional staff will expand the team’s capacity to provide comprehensive mental health resources and services to the public. With their experience, the department is better equipped to provide critical support to individuals in need, furthering its continuous commitment to safety and well-being.
