Bobby LeDoux (1949 - 2025)

Bobby LeDoux (1949 - 2025)
Bobby LeDoux

Bobby Gene LeDoux, age 74, was found deceased in his home on Aug 7, 2024.  He was positivity identified on March 27, 2025 and his manner of death could not be determined.  Bobby’s parents preceded him in death, his mother, Elvira, in 1984 and his father, Armogene, in 1995.  Bobby was an only child and was born on Dec 18, 1949 at St David’s Hospital in Austin, Texas.  Bobby weighed 3 lbs 7 oz and he truly was their most precious Christmas present.

Bobby attended first through seventh grades in Buda, Texas and eighth through eleventh grades at St Edward’s Catholic High School in Austin, Texas.  The summer of Bobby’s senior year, 1967, St Edward’s closed their high school.  Bobby then attended and graduated from Travis High School in Austin, in 1968.  He attended two years at Concordia University in Austin before transferring to The University of Texas in Austin.  He graduated in 1972 with a degree in finance.  All thru his school years, he worked on the family dairy farm and after graduation he returned to work on the LeDoux Jersey Farm.

Bobby grew up in a French/German family.  The story he told his cousins, often when he and his Mother were visiting Oma, his Mother’s Mother, the ladies talked in German, when they didn’t want Bobby to know what they were talking about.  In talking to Bobby’s cousins from Louisiana, the same took place in their homes but in French.  You can imagine the same thing happened when the Family visited in Eunice, Louisiana.

Bobby was involved in Travis County, Austin and San Antonio Livestock Shows during his school years.  He placed in numerous stock shows for various Jersey and Hereford entries, often with the Grand Champion.

As an adult, Bobby was active in pecan growing and competition showing.  His pecans won several awards.

Bobby lived his life on the farm but was always current on local, national and world happenings.  He loved a lively discussion with people.  Bobby lived the fourth commandment: “Honor your Father and your Mother”.  He let go of his dreams to stay and help run the family LeDoux Jersey Farm.  Bobby’s memory will be a blessing to those who knew him.

Family and friends will have a graveside service at Live Oak Cemetery in Manchaca on May 30, 2025 at 3pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an organization of your choice.  This is an outdoor service, please dress comfortably.
