KYLE — Kyle police officers responded to a report of family violence in the 200 block of Bluestem on Monday, June 9, at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, Mark Perry, 21, of Kyle, barricaded himself inside the residence.
Officers immediately secured the area and were able to remove the occupants from the home safely.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Hays County SWAT and Crisis Negotiation team were called to assist.
An arrest warrant for multiple charges was issued by Judge Chris Johnson. After a period of negotiations, SWAT made entry, and Perry was taken into custody.
He has been charged with assault causing bodily injury to a family member, terroristic threat to a family member, interference with public duties, and resisting arrest.
