Publisher Ashley Kontnier attended the Texas Press Association annual convention, held in Denton, where the News-Dispatch won multiple awards for content published in 2024. The awards include first place General Excellence, News Writing and Sports Photography, third place Feature Writing and fourth place Column Writing. Additionally, the News-Dispatch earned fourth place overall in its division.
