Hays CISD leaders and Sandra Ramage gathered to cut the ribbon on Ramage Elementary School Friday, Aug. 1. The Ramage family also joined the Hays CISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright in unveiling a sign that will be displayed at the front of the school, which honors Lamont’s legacy, according to Hays CISD.
The school is named in honor of Lamont Ramage, who served on the Hays CISD Board of Trustees for 12 years, as well as served as the first mayor of the city of Hays and the Hays County Pct. 5 Justice of the Peace.
