KYLE — Hats Off For Veterans invites the community to join in remembrance and unity at the annual 9/11 Memorial Luncheon, to be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the San Marcos Activity Center, located at 501 E. Hopkins St.
This year’s luncheon will feature U.S. Army Private First Class and prisoner of war (POW) Jessica Lynch as the esteemed guest speaker. Lynch became the first successful rescue of an American POW since WWII and the first ever of a female veteran in 2003. Her story of courage, resilience and hope continues to inspire countless service members and their families, according to a news release.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Hats Off For Veterans’ Mental Health and Wellness Programs, supporting Texas veterans.
