BUDA — The Buda Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has been honored with two 2025 Excellence in Economic Development Awards from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
According to a news release, Buda EDC received a Gold award in the General Purpose Website category for its innovative work on the organization’s website, www.budaedc.com, which provides information, data and insights to residents, businesses and community partners.
The organization also received a Bronze award in the Special Events category for its 2024 Buda Business Appreciation Awards event, recognizing efforts to develop strong business partnerships and celebrate the contributions of local businesses. Buda EDC will accept the honors at the IEDC 2025 Annual Conference in Detroit, Michigan, Sept. 14–17.
"This award shines a spotlight on Buda EDC’s commitment to its community and showcases the significant impact of economic development,” said Nathan Ohle, IEDC president and chief executive officer. “IEDC is honored to present this award to the Buda Economic Development Corporation team and the city of Buda to celebrate both their leadership and innovation in the field."
Each year, IEDC honors economic development organizations, government entities, initiatives and programs that consistently demonstrate excellence in the field, the news release stated. The honorees lead transformational projects that revitalize communities and advance the practice of economic development.
