Local artist Jim Lapaso, left, posed with one of his newest kinetic sculptures, “Butterfly Pie in the Sky,” at its temporary location at the corner of Center Street and Rebel Drive, where it acts as a “welcome” to the city of Kyle. Lapaso is accompanied by Julie Albertson and Spencer Thomas, owners of Texas Pie Company. Lapaso hopes the city will want the 16-foot-tall piece for its annual “Pie in the Sky” celebration.
