The Hays and Lehman High School drumlines performed a series of cadences to pump up the crowd at Hays County's inaugural Beat Breast Cancer Rally, held at Dahlstrom Middle School Saturday, Sept. 13. In conjunction with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, local host Tina Valdez organized the event to raise awareness for how "eating a plant-based diet and incorporating lifestyle changes can be powerful preventive medicine for breast cancer."
