Wimberley Texans' home opener slips away in 33-34 loss to LBJ Jaguars

In the first home game of the season, the Wimberley High School Texans football team (2-1 overall) was edged out of victory in a 33-34 loss to the LBJ High School Jaguars (2-0) Friday, Sept. 12. Pictured, Maverick Jacobs (No. 22) leaves the chaos behind and runs the ball in for a touchdown.

Wimberley will host Lampasas High School at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19. District play for the Texans will begin at home against Navarro High School at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26.
