More than 10 neighborhoods in Buda held National Night Out events Tuesday, Oct. 7.  National Night Out is an annual event aimed at promoting community involvement in crime prevention and strengthening police-community relationships, according to the city of Buda. Various activities were available for children, including an inflatable bounce house and slide, a soccer ball kicking target, the playground and corn hole, at the event in Whispering Hollow. First responders from the Buda Police and Buda Fire departments were stationed at the neighborhood events to interact with the community.
