Hays Hawks downed by Weiss Wolves

Following two winning weeks, the Hays High School Hawks football team hosted the Weiss High School Wolves Friday, Oct. 10, and lost 50-8, bringing the team’s district record to 2-2 for the season and putting it at fifth in the district. The Hawks will travel to College Station High School Friday, Oct. 17, to take on the Cougars, who are currently in fourth place in the district.

Hays Hawks trumpet soloist, Scott Bowers, performs the 2025 fall show, “The Lighthouse,” during halftime. The band and guard will host a free community showcase at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Bob Shelton Stadium.
