Dripping Springs High School orchestra students Alex Johnson, left, and Will Reale, right, were recently named to the Region 18 Orchestra, following their performances in the first round of the Texas Music Educators Association All-State audition process, held Saturday, Oct. 4, at Bowie High School in Austin. Johnson was named to the Region 18 String Orchestra on cello and qualified for the area auditions, which he will record on Oct. 25, and Reale was selected to the Region 18 Symphony Orchestra on violin. The Region 18 Clinic and Concert will be held Nov. 21-22 at the Austin ISD Performing Arts Center.
