Johnson Jaguar Band headed to state for the first time

The Johnson Jaguar Band traveled to St. Louis, Missouri, to compete in the Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional Oct. 17, where it finished fourth place, with a score of 88.3. A week later, the marching band made history by qualifying for University Interscholastic League 6A State Marching Contest Oct. 25. The band will hit the field at 8:15 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Alamodome in San Antonio for its preliminary performance. The top 14 bands will advance to finals, which will be held Nov. 4.
