Google Fiber held its groundbreaking Thursday, Nov. 6, at Lake Kyle Park. Representatives of Google, the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce and the city of Kyle were in attendance for the celebration. According to a previous article by the Hays Free Press, Google hopes to have community members connected to its network in spring of 2026.
