AUSTIN  — In the University Interscholastic League 6A D2 Region IV Finals Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Burger Center, the Dripping Springs Lady Tigers fell to the Austin High School Maroons. During district play, the Maroons won both meetings with the exact score of 3-1 in both matches.

The Tigers won a close first set by the score of 25 - 22, but the Maroons went on to win the next three sets. The second set score was Maroons 29, Tigers 27; the third set score was Maroons 25, Tigers 18 and the final set score was Maroons 25, Tigers 22.

The Tigers finished the season with an overall record of 29-19. This senior class had a final record of 163-45 — 78% winning percentage —  in the last four years. When the seniors were freshman, the program won the state championship in 2022.


Lady Tiger Henley Anderson (No. 22) gets ready for a spike in game two of the regional finals against the Austin High School Maroons Nov. 11. Anderson finished the match with four spikes and 21 kills. The Tigers fell to the Maroons 3-1 and ended their season with an overall record of 29-19.
