DRIPPING SPRINGS — The Dripping Springs High School Tiger Band achieved its highest finish in program history at the 2025 Bands of America Grand National Championships Saturday, Nov. 15, placing ninth overall in the nation’s premier marching band competition at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Competing against 107 bands from across the country, the Tiger band opened the contest Nov. 13, with a score of 91.700, advancing to the 36-band semifinal round for only the second time. It's historic run continued Nov. 15, when it were named a top-12 finalist for the first time in program history. The band's final performance of “WALALA: Taking Joy Seriously” earned a score of 92.225 and secured a top-10 finish.
The 2025 season also featured an 11th place finish at the University Interscholastic League 6A State Marching Contest in early November, marking the band’s first appearance in the 6A state finals in just its fourth year competing at the 6A level.
