SAN ANTONIO — The Dripping Springs Tigers pulled out a 52-28 win over San Antonio's Harlan High School Hawks during the University Interscholastic League (UIL) 6A D2 Region IV Area playoff game Friday, Nov. 21.
The Tigers won the coin toss and deferred the kickoff. During the first offensive series, the Hawks moved the ball and, on third down, their quarterback threw an interception to Tiger Liam Lawson and he was down at the 40-yard line.
Immediately after the interception, the stadium lights went out on the Tigers side for approximately 15 minutes. After the lights were back on, the Tigers went to work and the halftime score was Tigers 42, Hawks 7.
The Tigers had several players contribute with the final score of Tigers 52, Hawks 28.

Quarterback Chase Ames was 17/25 for 309 and four touchdowns
Running back Jaceton Gotta had 14 carries for 114 yards and one touchdown
Receiver Cooper Reid had five receptions for 104 yards and two touchdowns
Receiver James Montgomery had seven receptions for 104 yards

The Tigers will play next at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, in the UIL 6A D2 Regional IV semifinals at the Dub Farris Athletic Complex in San Antonio against the Medina Valley High School Panthers, who are currently 10-2.
