SAN MARCOS — Hays County Crime Stoppers released its current Top 12 Most Wanted List Monday, Jan. 5.
Hays County Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit organization established in 1981 to assist local law enforcement in publicizing information about crimes and wanted fugitives by offering rewards for information leading to arrests and or convictions.
The nonprofit partners with the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, San Marcos Police Department, Kyle Police Department, Buda Police Department, Uhland Police Department, Texas State University-San Marcos Police Department and the Hays County District Attorney’s Office. Its mission is to engage, educate and empower citizens, communities, businesses, schools, visitors, the media and law enforcement agencies in Hays County.
With input from its partners, the organization publishes a Top 12 Most Wanted List every other month to assist in the capture of wanted fugitives. Along with this list, additional lists are posted to its website to include: Most Wanted Crimes Against Children Offenders; Most Wanted Domestic Violence Offenders; Most Wanted Sex Offenders; Most Wanted (violent crimes); Wanted (non-violent crimes); and Texas Department of Criminal Justice Wanted Parole Violators.
