My Opinion
I am very sad that the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave” has sunk so low as to elect as their leader someone who took us out of the Climate Acord, almost out of NATO and claimed that Covid was not a problem.
This person, when not re-elected for a second term, demanded a recount and when that proved not to his liking stired up a crowd of followers to storm the Capitol, reassuring them that he would be “right there with them” then retreated to the White House where he watched the whole monstrosity on TV.
At our nation’s Capitol, which was completed during the Lincoln administration, feces was smeared on the inside walls, Offices were upended. The Legislators had to escape to safety while outside on the Capitol grounds a noose hung waiting for the Vice President to occupy.
Windows and doors were smashed and many of the Capitol police were severely injured.
In spite of the above mob destruction of our Nation’s Capitol, organized by a defeated President, the American People have happily elected him once more. On January 20th this person is being sworn in to our Nation’s highest office where he is prepared to pardon many of those involved in the 2021 mass Capitol destruction.
The man who will be our President beginning January 20th has shown on his first go around that he has no intention of curbing pollution, promoting wind and solar energy, providing child care for working families, reducing college loans, making citizenship less drawn out, promoting Women’s Healthcare, finding new sources of clean water. Well you get the picture.
We all know what our new President does care for:
Oil companies, Big Business, and Reduced Taxes on the rich.
All I can say is “God help America.”
