News Broadcasts: Hair and Cleavage
I don’t understand. Why is it that our USA women TV news broadcasters have, for some time now, been wearing their hair long and tossed over both shoulders, one side usually shorter than the others.
It’s not just the hair but the exposure of cleavage that has become popular in our TV news rooms.
I find this fashion statement a distraction from the news being broadcast.
The men TV broadcasters are a different story. All they change are their neckties or go without. Either way, not the distraction such as caused by hair and cleavage.
It would be nice for our women TV news commentators to stop trying to be fashion plates and just dress conservatively – including hair and neckline.
When I watch the news on TV I would like to be able to focus on just that – the News – and not the latest fashion statement, unless the fashion statement happens to be a news item.
Our news is vital to our understanding of Community, Country, and the World at large. We DO NOT need to be distracted by hair and cleavage.
