Following years of construction delays, Buda’s Central Fire Station is mere months from completion. In honor of the occasion, the Buda Masonic Lodge #800 hosted a Cornerstone Laying Ceremony Saturday, Feb. 14. Rooted in ancient traditions, the ceremony involved the symbolic leveling and placing of a cornerstone on the northeast corner of the building.

The actual cornerstone resides in the wall of the northeast corner of the building. Due to rain, a symbolic stone was used for the ceremony.
