A seventh Hays County resident — the second in a week’s time — has died of the COVID-19 virus.
The county announced on Tuesday that a Kyle man in his 80s had died. The daily report alo included 158 new cases of the coronavirus, two more people released from the hospital and 50 more people deemed recovered.
The county has now seen 2,819 cases since the pandemic began, with 2,340 of them considered still active. There have been 62 hospitalizations, with 17 people still hospitalized.
