Johnson High suspends all athletic camps until July 13

Johnson High officials have now suspended all of its athletic camps until July 13 after a second student who participated in activities at the school tested positive for COVID-19.

The student, a male, tested positive for the Coronavirus Monday, said Tim Savoy, Hays CISD Chief Communications Officer. The male student last attended Johnson High’s athletic camp June 17.

The news comes after officials announced a female student, who last attended the Johnson High girls summer athletic camp June 17, tested positive for COVID-19 June 26. Originally, Johnson High had opted to suspend only its girls summer camp activities until mid-July.
