The Wimberley High School Texans baseball team hosted the Davenport High School Wolves Friday, April 24, for the final game of the regular season and earned a dominating 11-6 victory, after losing to the Wolves earlier in the week. The win put the Texans’ record at 14-6-1 overall and 9-1 district, to claim first place in the district. The team’s seniors were also recognized that evening.

The 2026 District Champions gather for a team photo. Next up for the Texans is the Bi-District playoffs against Manor’s New Tech High School. The best-of-three series will begin in Wimberley at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30. Game two will be played in Manor at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, with game three starting 30 minutes after game two, if needed.
