Buda sets off to the see the Wizard

The city of Buda and Inspired Minds Art Center are hosting a production of “The Wizard of Oz” musical for the city's annual summer musical series. Pictured above, Bella Jo Moore as Dorothy sings “Over the Rainbow” on opening night Saturday, July 11, at Buda Amphitheater and City Park. More than 50 actors were involved in the play, which has additional showings at 8 p.m. July 17-19 and 24-26.

Attendees were serenaded by the actors throughout the night, including when Glinda, portrayed by Trinity Barrera, and the munchkins welcome Dorothy to Oz and celebrate the death of the Wicked Witch. The musical will be accompanied by American Sign Language interpretation July 17-19.
