DRIPPING SPRINGS — The Friends of the Dripping Springs Community Library (FODSCL) announced the relocation of its book donation bin with a ribbon cutting ceremony, in conjunction with the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce, July 7.

Its new home is on the porch of Noble Tutoring and Prep’s offices at 800 US 290, Building C, Suite 300, in Dripping Springs. FODSCL thanked Noble Tutoring for its generosity in providing space for the bin and for its past sponsorship of its endeavors, stated a news release.

The big blue book bin had been housed at the Sententia Vera Cultural Hub at 4002 East US 290 since December 2020, when it was purchased with a donation of $2,000 from the Dripping Springs Freethinkers Association. FODSCL also acknowledged Teresa Carbajal Grado, founder of Sententia Vera and a former FODSCL board member, for hosting the bin the past five years.

FODSCL is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support to the community library through fundraising and volunteer participation. Contributions to the organization are used exclusively to enhance library services and programs.

The nonprofit welcomes donations of books of all genres that are sold at various fundraisers throughout the year, continued the release. Large donations of books may be arranged by emailing  [email protected], though monetary donations are accepted, as well.
