KYLE, TEXAS — Two suspects were arrested Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16, in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Kyle over the weekend.
At approximately 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 12, a victim reported a brazen robbery at gunpoint in broad daylight in the 3700 block of Dacy Lane in Kyle. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.


During the investigation, the Kyle Police Department used automated license plate reader technology to quickly identify the getaway car and subsequently the suspects. With assistance from the Hays County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the Texas Department of Public Safety, both suspects were located and taken into custody.
Kasen Priestly, 19, of Buda, was arrested July 15, and Timothy Boyd, 19, of Kyle, was arrested July 16. Both were charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
