HAYS COUNTY — Hays County is inviting community members to provide feedback on its draft Strategic Plan, a roadmap for county priorities, investments and decision-making over the next five years.

Public input will help ensure the plan reflects the needs, values and priorities of the community, stated a Hays County news release.

"The Strategic Plan is about preparing Hays County for the future while keeping community priorities at the center of County decision-making," county administrator Kandice Boutté said. "We encourage everyone interested to share their input as we develop this important roadmap for the years ahead."

The Strategic Plan focuses on five priority areas:

• Community Wellbeing: Improve health, wellness and quality of life for all residents

• Governance, Workforce & Organizational Capacity: Strengthen county services through innovation, efficiency and a strong workforce

• Infrastructure & Sustainable Growth: Support responsible growth through reliable infrastructure, resilient resources and sound long-term planning

• Partnership & Collaboration: Strengthen community outcomes through partnerships, shared resources and coordinated action

• Criminal Justice Modernization: Enhance public safety and access to justice through effective, accountable and data-informed systems

Following the public engagement period, community feedback will be reviewed and incorporated to refine the draft Strategic Plan. The final plan will be presented to the Commissioners Court for consideration and will help guide future budgeting decisions, policy development and implementation efforts.

Community members are encouraged to visit www.hayscountytx.gov/349/Strategic-Plan to:

• Complete a survey by Aug. 26

• Review the draft Strategic Plan

• Indicate their interest in participating in a stakeholder listening session

Questions or comments can be given by phone at (512) 395-4214 or email at [email protected].
