KYLE — A 16-year-old male has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, following a shooting incident that occurred last month.
On Monday, June 29, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the juvenile followed a teen to his home in the 400 block of Philomena Drive, where he allegedly fired multiple rounds at the victim, said a Kyle Police Department news release. Although no injuries were reported, bullets were later found in both occupied and unoccupied homes in the surrounding area.
Conducting a thorough investigation, detectives utilized automated license plate reader technology to identify the suspect vehicle, as well as witness statements and video evidence to identify the juvenile suspect.
KPD stated that it remains committed to holding violent offenders accountable. Incidents involving firearms place innocent lives at risk and the department will continue working diligently to protect the safety of our community, concluded the release.
