People who Write
Thank you —- all of you — for the Books, Opinions, Newspapers, Poems, letters to Representatives and Senators in Congress and State legislators, letters to local city representatives, and most important, letters to friends and family.
Every Letter makes a difference —- whether you think so or not. Every Book makes a difference. Every Published Opinion makes a difference. Every Poem makes a difference.
Letters to friends and family are either cherished or destroyed. But they still make a difference. They make the recipient stop and think and, even if he or she is not pleased with the content, they will still think about the message.
The same goes for letters to US Senators and Reps, State Senators and reps, and city reps.
Books will influence many —- for enjoyment and new knowledge. And, if the book is put on CD, it will entertain and perhaps even enlighten the listener as he or she listens.
So, my dear reader, keep writing —- even if it is only to your grandchildren. And try a poem if you feel inspired. Oh, and about poems. Well that is a very special activity. A good poem can turn into a good song or even be read at a public gathering, like the inauguration of a President,
