WIMBERLEY  — The Wimberley Community Civic Club (WCCC) announced the appointment of Dee Marsh as publicity chair for the 2026-27 fiscal year.

A longtime marketing and public relations professional and co-founder of Marsh & Mihaly Marketing, Marsh brings more than 35 years of experience in communications, community relations, branding and nonprofit promotion, according to a news release. In her new role, she will work alongside the WCCC Board of Directors to enhance awareness of the organization's programs, events, fundraising efforts and community impact.

Founded in 1979 by a group of twelve women who recognized the growing needs of the Wimberley community, the Wimberley Community Civic Club was established to nurture community spirit, support local causes and welcome newcomers. What began as a small service organization, continued the release, has grown into a vibrant membership of approximately 200 individuals dedicated to making a difference in the Wimberley Valley.

In 2025-26, WCCC awarded $115,000 in grants and scholarships to local nonprofits and Wimberley students pursuing post-secondary education. These funds were raised by a 100% volunteer organization to put back into the community.

Through signature events, such as the Hill Country Home Tour, Style Show & Market, Breakfast with Santa, Events Around Town, Tablescapes and various spring fundraising activities, WCCC members contribute countless volunteer hours, while raising funds that benefit local nonprofit organizations and college-bound seniors.

"I am honored to serve as publicity chair and help share the incredible stories behind the Wimberley Community Civic Club," said Marsh. "For more than four decades, this organization has been bringing people together to support our community through service, friendship and philanthropy. I look forward to helping expand awareness of the club's mission and encouraging others to get involved."

As publicity chair, Marsh will focus on strengthening communications, expanding community outreach, enhancing social media and public relations efforts and supporting the club's ongoing mission of connecting residents through meaningful service and charitable giving.

The Wimberley Community Civic Club welcomes new members and volunteers who are interested in making a positive impact in the community, while building lasting friendships.
