Selena, Thomas Edison, Barack Obama and Ruth Bader Ginsburg were just a few of the famous figures presented by Fuentes Elementary 5th graders during the school's 2nd annual "living wax museum" held in the campus cafeteria. The event was the culmination of a nearly two-week long biography project where more than 120 students selected and researched a famous figure from history. During the course of the project, students worked on skills relating to research, the writing process and source attribution. Along with writing up material, students also had to come up with four to five lines to recite to classmates and parents during the "museum" part of the project. Students also created their own costumes as well.
