Buda firefighters and residents celebrated the grand opening of Buda Fire Department Station #1 and kicked off Fire Prevention Month Saturday, Oct. 3, with a Fire Safety Showcase.
The event provided residents an opportunity to meet local firefighters and tour the fire station, which was under construction for more than a year.
Kiera T., pictured, participated in one of the many activities available to learn about fire safety by using a fire extinguisher to put out flames.
