The Lehman High School Marching Band placed first in the Lost Pines Marching Festival Saturday, Oct. 3, in Bastrop, becoming grand champions. The group competed against 19 other bands with its 2026 show Up & Up. According to the competition’s website, the top 10 scoring bands headed to finals after an initial preliminary showing earlier in the day, where the Lobos placed third. “We could not be more proud of [the students’] accomplishment tonight. It was truly a great day to be a Lobo and now, all of these students get to call themselves, ‘Champion,’” said the organization in a social media post. They also claimed the Best Visual award. The LHS Marching Band performs at each football game and regularly attends competitions. To learn more, visit www.lehmanband.org.
