DRIPPING SPRINGS — On Oct. 9, Springs of Hope, formerly Project Connect, celebrated its new identity with an official Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at Dripping Springs Distilling, marking a new chapter in more than a decade of community service.
Founded in 2015, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit connects Dripping Springs ISD students, families, employees and community members with essential resources, financial assistance and compassionate support. From helping families facing unexpected hardships with groceries, utilities and emergency expenses to providing holiday gifts through its beloved Tiger Santa program, Springs of Hope works year-round to support neighbors in need.
Working closely with DSISD school counselors, Springs of Hope helps identify students and families facing financial hardships and connects them with the assistance and resources they need.
Over the past decade, the organization has assisted more than 1,000 individuals and families, provided over $1 million in financial assistance and charitable support and partnered with more than 100 community organizations.
“Our new name reflects something we’ve always believed: hope grows when a community comes together,” said Lisa Little, president of Springs of Hope. “Behind every request for assistance is a real person, a family or a child who needs someone in their corner. We’re here to remind them they’re not alone and everyone in our community has the power to make a difference.”
Signature initiatives include Tiger Santa, which provided holiday gifts to 184 individuals across 67 families in 2025, and the annual online silent auction, which brings together local businesses, donors and supporters to raise funds for year-round assistance.
Springs of Hope welcomes volunteers, donations, business sponsorships and community partnerships to help expand its impact.
The mission remains the same. The name is new. The opportunities to make a difference are endless.
