City of Kyle is expected to declare State of Emergency at 5 p.m. today and will probably go into effect around 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.

1. Limit gatherings to 10 people. Expected through April 5, but could go longer.
2. Churches can’t meet in public.
3. Restaurants indoors are not allowed. City is encouraging restaurants to stay open, but move to delivery or take-out, even allowing curbside pickup.
4. Daycares will be impacted. 10 people total includes caretakers.
5. Parks wil stay open.
6. Library and city hall will be closed to the public, and departments within city hall will be working out how to keep open.
7. City will suspend rules about tables on sidewalk and will allow restaurants to put out tables, but there has to be enough space between tables.
8. Exemptions will be grocery stores and medical facilities.
9. Wedding venues in city limit will have to close because of 10-person rule.
10. County is expected to limit gatherings to 50 countywide.
11. Fine for violation could be up to $1,000 but city is going to just try to talk to people first.
12. City meetings will be held via teleconference. Governor just allowed this change to Open Meetings Act, due to the COVID19.
13. Bars will basically be shut down, except those that have outside facilities, but still have to look at how many people can be in the place.
