Two new cases of the COVIA-19 virus in Hays County were announced Monday, March 30, bringing the total number so far to 24. Three were announced on Sunday, March 29.
Six people have recovered, meaning 18 are “active.”
The county also announced there have been 210 negative tests and that the results of 17 are pending. At one time, four people were hospitalized, three are currently.
There have been no reported deaths from the coronavirus in the county.
Fourteen of the positive cases have occurred in woman and 10 in men. Two of the women were between 60 and 69 years old; one woman and five men between the ages of 50 and 59; four women and three men 40-49; four women and two men 30-39; and three women 20-29.
San Marcos has the most cases at 10; followed by Kyle with 6. Buda has had 5 confirmed cases and Dripping Springs, 1. Two of the Hays County residents have Austin addresses and there have been no confirmed cases in either Wimberley or Woodcreek.
