Hays County Judge joins 2020 Census virtual road trip

Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra is lending a hand this week to 2020 Census get-out-the-count efforts.

Judge Becerra and Chief of Staff Alex VIllalobos will tape a video Friday, June 26 promoting the importance of completing the Census and how an accurate count in Hays County directly affects emergency response services in situations like Covid 19. This video is part of the Texas Counts Virtual Census Road Trip, which travels through Central Texas and The Hill Country Friday.

You can register to join tomorrow's Texas Counts Zoom Road Trip Kickoff Rally meeting HERE (10 am) or watch the live stream on the Texas Counts Facebook page. Events are still being added to the trip map and toolkit online at txcounts.me/roadtriptoolkit. As events are submitted, they’re listed on the Central Texas / Hill Country calendar at texascounts.org/virtual-road-trip-to-central-texas-the-hill-country/.

On Saturday, June 27, Judge Becerra joins the Hays County Complete Count Committee in the taping of a Public Service Announcement to help underscore the necessity of getting a complete and accurate 2020 Census count in Hays County. Behind the scenes photos will be posted during the day at Judge Becerra's Facebook page, along with Friday's 2020 Census taping.
