20 currently hospitalized with COVID-19

Twenty Hays County residents were hospitalized with COVID-19 according to its Friday report. That’s three fewer cases than a day prior. Friday’s report also includes 140 new cases and, in keeping with evolving trends statewide, the 20 to 29 year age group, continues to have the most infections at 1,257.


In total, 2,415 county residents have now been found to have the coronavirus, compared to 6,716 who have tested negative. Five people have died since the beginning of the pandemic and 62 have been hospitalized.


San Marcos has had the most positive test results at 1,430.
