18 more confirmed cases of COVID-19

 


Although there were 18 more confirmed cases of COVI-19 added to the county’s total on Wednesday, May 27, there have as yet been no positive in any of Hays County’s nursing homes.


That was the word from Epidemiologist Eric Schneider. Residents and staff of nursing homes across the state in the past two weeks, conducted by local fire departments and EMS agencies.


The county has currently a total of 297 confirmed cases, with 3,621 people testing negative. Some 165 people have recovered, leaving 129 considered active. Three people have died and five are currently hospitalized.


The 20 to 29 age group shows the most positive cases at 41; followed by those 30-39 (34 cases), 40-49 years (28 cases) and 50 to 59 (27 cases). More females (169) have tested positive than males (129).


At 150 positive cases, Kyle still leads the county, followed by San Marcos (79 cases) and Buda (38 cases).
