The Pedernales Electric Coop (PEC) is now accepting nominations for its board of directors in districts 2, 3 and 4.
Elections in districts 2 and 3 are for three-year terms. The person elected to district 4 will serve the unexpired two-year term of former director Jim Powers, who resigned his position last year.
Applicants may access the nomination forms online, download them and fill them out at their convenience. The forms include qualification requirements, detailed instructions, an application, maps of PEC board districts and forms for submitting background information and collecting member signatures.
Fully completed petitions must be received by or hand delivered to the Board Recording Secretary at PEC at 201 S. Avenue F, Johnson City, TX, 78636, no later than 5 p.m. on March 23.
Applicants must reside in the district and have received PEC electric service for at least one year and must obtain verifiable signatures from 50 members who live within the nominee’s district.
A qualifications review committee comprised of members will verify nominees’ qualifications. After that, PEC will announce the candidates.
