Hays County shows no signs of losing its “hot spot” status with 105 new cases of COVID-19 added overnight. The report for Wednesday, July 1 shows 2,924 residents who have been diagnosed with the highly contagious airborne virus, of which 483 have recovered.
Seven county residents have died.
Young adults continue to be the most impacted, with 1,434 of the cases in people between the ages of 20 and 29. San Marcos continues to lead in the number of cases with 1,649.
Sixty two people have been hospitalized and there were no new hospitalizations overnight.
