Update: Public’s help sought in finding missing man

The missing man has been found and is safe with family.

Staff Report

Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating  a 46-year-old man who disappeared while visiting family in the vicinity of the Sunfield subdivision in Buda.

Alfred Torres reportedly became disoriented while taking a walk Sunday. He was last seen around 1 p.m. He made contact with a family member via walkie-talkie and told them he saw the Cabela’s store in the distance and would walk toward it.

No one has heard anything since from Torres, who the Hays County Sheriff’s Office said requires daily medication.

He is described as approximately five feet, eight inches and 170 lbs. with brown eyes and partially gray hair.

He was last seen wearing a gray “Moonshine” hat, gray “Goonies” T-shirt, blue basketball shorts, black-rimmed glasses and white tennis shoes. He had on a blue Dallas Cowboys face mask.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Detective David Marshall, 512-393-77896 or [email protected]. Callers who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 800-324-8477 (TIPS).
