Eight hundred and twenty four Hays County residents had been tested for the COVID-19 virus as of 4 p.m. on Friday, April 17. Results include 121 positives and 680 negatives. Results in 23 cases are pending.
There has been one fatality and a dozen hospitalizations. Four people remain hospitalized at undisclosed facilities, while 53 have recovered. Sixty seven cases are considered active.
People between the ages of 50 and 59 constitute 33 of the postive cases; while there are 24 cases in people aged 30 to 39; 19 in those aged 40 to 49 and 18 in those 20 to 29.
Two of the cases, and the one fatality, were in people 80 years old or older. Those 70 to 79 account for 6 cases and those 60 to 69, 13.
