Want to make a real difference in the lives of local elderly?
The Friends Foundation is in dire need of volunteer drivers to deliver meals for Our Daily Bread, a program providing meals to the elderly in the Greater Dripping Springs Area. This program is currently providing meals to about 25 clients.
The schedule now has five routes in the Dripping Springs area with volunteer opportunities for regular routes and subs too. The meals are prepared fresh and locally by Hill Country Nursing and Rehab and are delivered at noontime on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Volunteer delivery drivers must have: a vehicle in good operating condition, a valid state issued license to drive in Texas, insurance, a good driving record and pass a criminal background check to qualify.
To volunteer or if someone you know could benefit from this program please contact The Friends Foundation by email: [email protected] or call (512) 592 1345.
